What if you want credit and proof for the Political Contribution in order to count toward deductions for taxes instead of the refund?
Also, what is CEA doing about PERA charging retirees 8% more, beginning in Jan. to go back to work? Whom do we politically write, call, or speak to about this? Judges and lawyers do not have to pay this, but teachers and policeman do. What gives? Again, those who have more get taxed less. ( i.s. Judges and lawyers ( who else is included in this group?) AND Can anyone out there help?

I’ve tried 4x to pull up the “new animated video” explaining EMO by clicking on the above link w/no luck… I’m in SVVSD & thought this would be very timely and helpful for members, so pls let me know what’s up w/that. Thanks!

To V.Darpino: I don’t believe that is an option to ask for a tax deduction from the EMO political money instead of a refund. It is a special dedicated political fund that can’t be claimed as a tax deduction. Either you do nothing and CEA spends the money on political action, or you request a refund and get back the $39. (Or more from local unions, too.) To verify, please contact Linda Lutz at CEA: 303-837-1500, llutz@nea.org.
